I can't sign up for a free trial or for a regular membership

You have already had a free trial

You will not be eligible for a free 30-day trial if you have already taken advantage of it within the last 12 months. Note: If you sign up through the Audible app for Android, you will not be able to take the free trial, but you will be charged regular monthly price immediately.

Your membership charge has not processed yet

It could be that your membership charge hasn’t processed yet. When you sign up for the 30-day free trial or a regular membership, our system sends an authorization request to your bank to confirm that your credit card is a valid payment method. Once the credit card is authorized, you will be enrolled in the free trial and will have your credit(s) in your account. If the credit card is not authorized, you will need to update your payment information by following these steps:

1. While signed in, go to Manage credit cards.
2. Select Edit next to the card you’d like to update.
3. Edit the information in the open text fields.
4. Select Save.

Your card has expired

If you haven’t been able to activate your Audible membership yet, it could be that your credit or debit card has expired. You can verify the expiry date of your card and update your payment method anytime on Manage credit cards. Note: If your membership is billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store you will need to contact Apple or Google for support.
